Welcome To Mercy Hill Church

We're on a mission to make much of Jesus, telling His story to our neighbors and the nations

Our Story

Our church is a place where our doors are open to people of all backgrounds, regardless of where they are at in their faith journey.

Through engaging, powerful worship and Biblical truth taught in practical and relevant ways, we hope to weave God's life and God’s extravagant love into our community.

Our Mission

We exist to exalt Jesus by demonstrating his love and telling his story from our neighbors to the nations.

Our Values

Our Beliefs

God is sovereign above all

God is the creator and ruler of the universe. God is all powerful and all knowing and all wise. He has a perfect knowledge of all things, past, present, and future, including the future decisions of His free creatures. To Him we owe the highest love, reverence, and obedience.
Genesis1:1 // 1 Chronicles 29:10-12 // Psalm 90:2 // Romans 11:33-36

God is one triune God

He has eternally existed in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, who are distinct in personal attributes, but one in nature. The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit have always been and continue to be in perfect, eternal fellowship with each other.
Genesis 3:22 // Exodus 3:14 // Deuteronomy 6:4-5 // Matthew 28:19 // John 17:1-8 // 1 Peter 1:2

The Bible is God's Word

The Bible is God’s Word and is His written revelation of Himself, to all men. It was written by human authors under the inspiration of God. It is entirely true and completely sufficient for salvation and instruction in godly living. Scripture alone is our ultimate authority.
2 Timothy 3:16-17; 1:13 // 2 Peter 1:20-21 // Psalm 119:105, 160 // Proverbs 30:5

People are created by God in His image

Humanity is made in the image of God and designed to be like Him in character. God created both male and female as the supreme object and crowning achievement of His creation. We affirm that all people have intrinsic value given by their creator and are worthy of love, dignity, and respect regardless of age, race, gender, or class.
Genesis 1:27 // Genesis 2:7 // Psalm 8:5 // Psalm 139:13-16

People are in need of redemption

Although humanity has tremendous potential for good, humanity is marred by an attitude of disobedience toward God called “sin”. This attitude separates humanity from God and puts each of us under God’s just condemnation. Since we are incapable of escaping the pervasiveness of sin, erasing the permanent stain of sin, or paying the penalty of sin, we stand in need of redemption.
Psalm 8:3-6 // Psalm 14:1-3 // Isaiah 53:6 // Isaiah 59:1-2 // Romans 3:23 // Romans 6:23

Jesus is Lord and Savior

Jesus is the eternal Son of God, equal with the Father and the Holy Spirit. He is both fully God and fully human. He was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, died on the cross as a substitute for mankind, was raised from the dead, ascended into heaven, and will one day return as the rightful Lord of all.
Matthew 1:22-23 // John 1:1-5 // 1 Corinthians 15:3-4 // Colossians 1:15-20

Jesus Alone Saves

Salvation comes only through Jesus Christ, the only mediator between God and man. As such, salvation is possible only by his death and resurrection. No other religion, belief, act of obedience, or person can reconcile God and man. Forgiveness for our past, joy in our present, and hope for our future are found in Christ and Christ alone.
Matthew 16:16 // John 14:6 // Acts 2:36 // Acts 4:11-12 // 1 Timothy 2:5-6

Salvation is by faith alone

Salvation is a gracious gift from God to humanity. Humanity can never make up for his sin by self-improvement or good works. Only by repenting of sin and placing faith in Jesus Christ as God’s offer of forgiveness can man be saved from the penalty of sin. Eternal life begins the moment one receives Jesus into his life by faith.
John 1:12 // John 14:6 // Romans  5:1 // Romans 6:23 // Galatians 3:26// Ephesians 2:8-9 // Titus 3:5

The Church is God's People

The redeemed people of God are called the church. Jesus is the head of the church and the church is called to faith in him and obedience to him. Jesus’ saving work is the foundation of the church. The ultimate end of the church is to glorify God. God has chosen His church to join him on his mission to redeem a people for himself.
Matthew 28:18-20 // John 20:21 // Colossians 1:18 // Philippians 2:9-12 // 1 Peter 2:9-10
