Serve Saturday

Serve Saturday

Join us on Saturday, April 20th, as we serve our neighbors!

Like we did in October, you’ll meet at your project location and be led by that project’s team leaders. We have several projects so make sure to choose whichever project works best for you.

We also have t-shirts for sale this year for you to wear to your project location! Add it on when you register for $20!

Here are the projects:

  • Table on Delk Outreach & Hospitality (Adult Only) – Delk Road: Volunteers meet at 10:30am for training and prayer before our friends join them from 11:30am-2:30pm. The hospitality team remains on-site to welcome, serve, and sit with guests just as you would someone in your home, while the outreach team goes out to offer a small gift, prayer, and an invitation for lunch to women and children in the area. At 2:30pm, we clean up, debrief, and pray – usually finishing around 3:30pm. This event is for adults only.
  • MUST Ministries Donation Center (Highschool and older) – Cobb Parkway: We will be serving our friends at the Hope House by helping them sort and pack food boxes, size and hang clothing, assemble hygiene kits and other similar projects. All volunteers must be age 14 or older. Minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian who is also volunteering. This event will be from 10am-12pm.
  • Dowell Elementary Facility Clean Up (Family Friendly) – Marietta: We love our relationship with Dowell Elementary, and are excited to serve them this year by updating their facilities. This year, they’ve asked us to paint gazebo and outdoor learning area (benches/structure), clean up beds, lay mulch, weed in the garden and other common areas. This event will be from 9am-1pm. They will provide paint and mulch, but have asked that you bring tools to help accomplish this.
  • International Student Fellowship Student Connection (Family Friendly) – Kennesaw: Our newest partner, ISF has asked that we connect with their students by taking them for a spring hike at Kennesaw Mountain, and then eating lunch with them at a local international restaurant afterward. We will pick up the students at or near the KSU campus. This event will be from 10am-2pm. This potentially requires the use of your car.
  • Send Relief Center Refugee Engagement (Highschool and older) – Clarkston: Clarkston, GA is often referred to as the “Ellis Island of the South” and is home to one of the most diverse populations in America, where 60-70% of the population is foreign-born, resulting in more than 50 countries and 100 ethnic groups all residing within the same 1.4 square miles. In the morning, you would do a training session and a fun activity at CIBC. In the afternoon, you would be jumping into an apartment community to play games and teach English to Nepali, Afghan, and Guatemalan children and adults. This event will be from 9am-5pm.
  • WayMark Foster (Adult Only) – Douglasville: During our OneDay FunDay at Exodus Ranch, we provide horseback riding, inflatables, a bubble machine, bounce house, mechanical bull, goodie bags, lunch, rodeo demonstration, basketball, games, dummy steer roping, canvas painting, face painting, Christian Illusionist and more! This is for youth in foster, adoptive & group homes and their families. We will be providing volunteer roles for registration and lunch. The event will be from 10:30am-3pm.
